Project: 4D Build Rebrand

Brief: Rebrand a 3D Puzzle brand to better target its target demographic, 18-35 M “kidults”.

Result: 71% growth in sales first year of rebrand. Continued growth second year.

The Challenge:

  • Needed to capture passion 4D Builders put into their fandom and builds.

  • Packaging and branding seemed outdated compared to competitors.

  • Needed to quickly communicate what the product is on shelf.

The Approach:

  • Highly rendered, sleek logo for more modern look.

  • Simplified black background and Spot UV finish to give premium feel and pop color of the product.

  • Hyper realistic render with highlights on puzzle pieces and piece popping out to communicate product is a puzzle. Detached piece exposes inside armature of build.

The Results:

  • 71% growth in sales YoY. Continued growth second year.

  • Renewed interest from retail buyers in brand.

  • Smooth alignment and approval process with licensors.
